A Windridge Vineyards Educational Series Class: Cookies & Wine!
Join us for a special holiday class in our Windridge Vineyards Wine Education Series, where we explore the challenging but deliciously rewarding pairing of wine with holiday cookies. Put the milk back in the fridge, grab a wine glass, and we’ll teach you how to pair wine with your favorite holiday cookies.
Our resident wine experts will guide you through a tasting of our 2018 Sparkling Blanc de Blanc, 2022 Chardonnay and 2017 The Old Line ruby port style wine. In addition we will taste an Ice Wine from the Finger Lakes in New York, a Sauternes from Boudreaux, France, and an Auslese Riesling from Mosel, Germany. As we pair these wines with cookies, we’ll discuss the production of the wines and the unique terroir that makes these wines so distinctive.
We will taste a curated selection of holiday cookies that pair well with these wines, and we also encourage participants to bring their own favorite holiday cookies to try pairing with the wines. This class is the perfect tasting experience for wine lovers, novices, and connoisseurs alike.
